The Integration of Yoga and Psychotherapy / IYP

Gill is a trainee Integrative Yoga Psychotherapist, training with the Minded Institute (Masters equivalent, Level 7 Diploma), and received her fit-for-practice in August 2023 to begin her 450 clinical hours for qualification. She is sharing Psychotherapy at a cancer therapy centre in Bicester, and is also currently accepting private clients online and in-person at Healing Hammock in Watlington.

As a trainee Psychotherapist she offers a reduced rate and pricing scale of £65 – £45 per Session (60mins)– agreed upon contracting.

Gill recently completed her training in a psychotherapy modality Deep Brain Reorienting (DBR) Level 2, for treating complex trauma.

Gill is also a qualified Yoga therapist, and is accredited by the National Council of Integrative Psychotherapists and is also a fellow of the organisation.

What is Integrative Yoga Psychotherapy?

IYP is a biological-psychological-social-spiritual modality of Psychotherapy that believes the connection between Mind-Body wellbeing is imperative to healing. It’s the merging of modern sciences, developmental psychology, person centred psychotherapy, neuroscience, somatics, and other alternative therapies. Combined with the ancient science of Yoga, which is a holistic system for mind-body wellbeing, energetic and emotional balance, and a connection to our self and something greater than ourselves.

Various Integrative Psychotherapeutic modalities including; Person Centred Talking Therapy (Counselling), Trauma-focused therapies, Compassion Focused Therapy, Somatics, Internal Family Systems, Sensori-Motor Pschotherapy, IEMT, Existentialism, Transactional Analysis and Spiritual Counselling as well as the Eastern traditions of Yoga and Buddhism.
