Four blissful hours of self-care.
Therapeutic yoga combines mindful movement, breathwork, mindfulness, energy revitalising, meditation and other yogic tools to nourish all layers of our being
(body-breath-mind-energy-spirit).
You’re under no obligation to participate in absolutely everything, this is your time, so join in when you want to, leave out what you don’t, and give yourself permission to rest, relax and just be.

Plan for the day
13:00 Arrival: enjoy a cuppa (refreshments provided all day), set up your space, and welcome circle (please eat lunch before arrival – recommend leaving at least an hour between eating and arrival)
13:15 Physical Yoga Practise (90mins): a nourishing gently paced yoga practise including movement/asana, breathing/pranayama, mantra/affirmations, mudra/hand gestures, finishing with a luxurious savasana
14:30 Tea-break & treat: Gill to provide some homemade treats, but feel free to bring your own snacks too
14:45 Yoga Therapy tool: understanding the 5 layers (koshas) of our being and how we can better support our mind-body wellbeing
15:15 Deep Relaxation with Yoganidra (Guided Meditation): a deeply rejuvenating meditation, practiced lying down with the body completely at ease with the support of props and blanket for warmth. (examples here)
16:00 Tea-break
16:15 – 16:45 Closing Circle: reflect, relax and share
Things to note before booking:
- This retreat is open to beginners and more experienced students alike
- Please note we will be practising on the mat, including the floor for a lot of the session: supine, prone, seated, table-top and some standing sequences as well – along with plenty of options and modifications
- We’ll have breaks for tea / coffee and snacks, some treats will be available on the day – but you’re welcome to bring your own too
- Props: we will use in-studio props throughout the day – you may wish to bring your own blanket for yoganidra meditation
